Yes, you can host a birthday party at Henkel Street. If you are 16 or over, you can go ahead and book any cinema at any time. We also have a dedicated screening time for kid’s parties every Saturday & Sunday at 11.30am. Click here for more information.
What films can I watch?
There are 2 options available to screen content. The standard option is access to an Apple TV located in each cinema which enables you to stream your content from a streaming service. When booking, you will be required to agree to our terms & conditions if you choose this option.
The other option is to add-on film licensing when booking. This is a hands-free, more cinematic option where we license the film on your behalf, source the film, automate it to start a certain time and cut in an intermission if you wish. You can screen anything available from our catalogues here. We don’t have access to films currently playing at the big cinemas, however we do have thousands of movies new & old, all demanding to shine on the big screen where they belong!
If you would like to screen your own self-produced content or already have a film license for a certain film, please email the file via Dropbox or Google Drive to hello@henkelstreetcinema.com.au. Please make sure that it is in a .mp4 format. We require at least 24 hours to prepare files to look great on the big screen. Our staff won’t have enough time on the day of your screening, to prepare your file from a USB drive. We cannot screen DCP files.
What if the film I want to play goes for longer than my screening session?
All screenings are 120 mins in length. If you’d like to play a film that is longer than this, you will need ‘add an extra 15 minutes’ or ‘add an extra hour*’ at an additional cost.
All sessions are eligible for an extra 15 minutes or 30 minute add-on. This does not apply to Kid’s Party sessions.
*There are only certain sessions that you can add an extra hour to:
Cinema 1 - Wednesday/Thursday 7.30-9.30pm, Saturday 9-11pm, Sunday 6-8pm.
Cinema 2 - Wednesday/Thursday 7-9pm, Friday 7-9pm, Saturday 8.15pm-10.15pm, Sunday 5.15-7.15pm.
The other option is to book 2 sessions in a row in either Cinema if you’re keen on a double-feature or just want to watch an epic.
I’m struggling to find a specific film to be licensed. Can you help?
Yes, please send us an email & we’ll see what we can do to help track down your film. hello@henkelstreetcinema.com.au. Please look at both film catalogues before requesting a film.
Can I include an intermission?
You have the option to include a 7 minute intermission in your screening when adding film-licensing to your booking. Just make sure you have enough time to fit it in. If you are using the Apple TV to play content, you can pause at any time for an intermission.
